Discover the secrets to creating fabulous backgrounds with inks and paint! You’ll learn how to work with three
innovative mediums from Ranger Industries: Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers, Adirondack Alcohol Inks by Tim
Holz, and Distress Pads by Tim Holz. You’ll explore several techniques, including Wrinkle Free Distress,
Alcohol Ink Agates, Spritz & Flick, and Ink Monoprint... plus much more. And if you haven’t yet discovered the
wonder of Grungeboard, here’s your chance. You’ll love how all these exciting products will spark your stamping
creativity and make your project really stand out. Enjoy a couple of hours trying something new (there may even be a
few surprises along the way!) and when we’re done, you’ll leave class with a ring-clasped wood board book filled

Having the perfect card precisely when you need it is easier than you think. Join CJ for this fun, fast-paced
class and make at least 6 cards, ready to customize for any need. Students will learn how to combine
a few basic sketches (layout) with pre-stamped verses (featuring Verses Rubber Stamps), ready-to-go
backgrounds, pre-punched shapes and a selection of embellishments to create versatile card foundations
that can easily be transformed at a moment’s notice. Students will receive a “cards-to-go box” filled with
quick card elements, along with great tips on how to make the most of your new card making tool. Bring
your basic stamping suitcase.

Intermediate Level
Having learned the basic three techniques of traditional Repujado (metal embossing): outlining, round,
and flat techniques, students will continue to learn how to create volume or dimension, how to create
leaves & petals, and how to overlap things. They will also learn about different ways to fill the back of their
project; color or antiquing it and adhering it. For those that didn’t take the beginner’s class, they will
be given a list of reminders with a general review of all the basic things. The project will be a flowers
and leaves light switchplate. Students bring: ruler, cutting mat, scissors, glue (Diamond Glaze or Elmer’s
Glue), bristle brush, Scotch tape.

Beginning to Intermediate Levels
You will learn how easy it is to create a stunning, Face-to-Face necklace and earring set with tags, wire
and colored pencils. Individual pieces may vary from the sample depending on the stamps used, design
placement and applied colors. Allow your finished pieces to be photographed by the instructor and you’ll
receive an additional tag to complete at home. All sealant, wire, beads and jewelry components will be
provided. Bring: juicy black Memories ink pad, pencil sharpener and Prisma Color Pencils of your choice in
light peach, blue, red, green, yellow and brown hues. Colors used in sample include Prisma 901, 902, 904,
915, 923, 925, 927, 928, 943, 945, 989, 1003, and 1004. Watercolor pencils cannot be used for this project.
Feel free to bring your own wire cutters and flat nose pliers if you have them. While the face stamps used
in the sample will be available for class use, you may bring your own face stamps.

PAPER REPROUSSE CARDS THURS. AUG 6

Beginning Level
This class is for all papercraft enthusiasts. Reprousse/embossed is a term usually associated with raised
metalwork, but in this class, you will be using paper. It’s a new take on an age-old technique. You will start
out designing your background paper with rubber stamps and dye inks. Then you’ll select your choice
of design to be set in relief to achieve the dimension of reprousse. Two to three cards will be made. Bring: XActo
knife w/new blade, cutting mat, pencil, scissors, permanent glue stick, medium ball stylus, old credit
card, a dryer black ink pad, sponge, your favorite Kaleidacolor stamp pad, soft rubber brayer, spray
bottle of water, an assortment of mini-pattern stamps and some of your favorite background stamps, 3/8”
hole punch and eyelet setter for 3/8” eyelets.

Beginning Level
Join Nancy for this updated version of the original two resist classes that formed the basis for the first chapter
of the book, Texture Effects for Rubber Stampers. Students will combine beginning and advanced resist
techniques with additional instruction on newer products. This is a technique-based class so extra
time can be spent on advanced applications. Bring 3-5 darker, coordinating dye ink pads, permanent ink pad,
one metallic or pearlescent ink pad, scissors, double stick tape, favorite stamps. Optional: heat tool.

Beginning Level
Students will learn how to make small paper quilts and then use those quilts to embellish cards. They
will also learn to “iris-fold” a star for making a Christmas, 4th of July or other cards. They will make
a simple folder to hold the three cards, as well as make a small frame with an acrylic cover for hanging.
Bring scissors and a ruler.

Intermediate Level
This chubby box (approx. 4¼ ” square) has imprinted edges that can be colored in with pencils if you
choose. An accordian fold binding (pre-scored) is used to hold pages in place. Black book cloth is used
to cover the book and the box. You will learn to construct the box sleeve for your book from 5 pieces of
book board and paper. A book bar is used on the front of the book for charms and trinkets to hang
from. The bar comes with jump rings, swivel, pins, and several brass charms. Additional embellishments
(i.e. the antique buttons, face, hand, etc. as shown in the sample) may be purchased or brought to class for
further enhancement. Each step has easy to follow written instructions and pictures. You will learn basic
book and box assembly. Bring: scissors, glue stick (Tombow blue glue works well), roll of ¼” red liner
tape, awl and bone folder.

Do you like to make and give “interactive” cards with that fun element of the unexpected? Learn
how to create four different action cards featuring Inky Antics stamps: a Slide ‘n Stand Card (which
automatically creates its own built-in display base), an adorable Tented Slider Card, a Peek-a-Boo Card,
and an entertaining Confetti Finger Card (Yes, it really blasts a bit of sparkle at the recipient!) It
may look hard to make them, but it’s really easy once you discover the secrets! Your class kit will
include full-color instructions and as a special bonus, we’ll introduce the Gamsol method of colored
pencil blending. Bring: color pencils (regular not watercolor), and one five-yd ¹/8 “ red-lined tape
or an adhesive runner (adhesive products may be purchased at the start of the class, if desired).

Beginning & Intermediate Levels
In this class we will use 6” x 6” acrylic sheets to make an album complete with three tabbed acrylic pages
and three paper pages. The base of the album is solder all around then we solder darling brass feet/
legs to each corner. The top cover is embossed metal and the back side of the embossed metal is done with
a neat technique so both sides are equally beautiful. Kit includes soldering iron, lead-free solder, paste
flux and a 6” square tile. To purchase a kit ($24), contact teacher no later than one week prior to class

With three of our new butterfly stamps that have been stamped on acetate, you will learn how to
totally glitter the image in stages, making three spectacular cards. You will be provided with a basic
Art Glitter Kit designed for this class and called Monarch Mania and will include everything needed
for the cards. Once the glue has dried, you will mount these images on Bazzil paper. As always, you
will receive a special thank you gift.
