Are you tired of spending $4.00 on a Hallmark card? Do you ever look at a store bought card and wish you could make one yourself? Our Stamping 101 class with Judy Kubicki will jump start your creativity and show you how easy stamping can be. You’ll learn about inks, rubber stamps, markers, brayers, masking and heat/thermal embossing so you can make your own works of art.
Bring a pencil and paper for notes.



A JOURNEY THROUGH ENVELOPES$31

Loving envelope projects as much as she does, Gaye Medbury has found a wonderful layered presentation of various sized envelopes, assembled together giving interest, dimension and that WOW factor. No one will figure out how you made this. It can be used as a card, journal or inserted into an altered book. The possibilities are endless.
Students need to bring their basic stamping suitcase including: Post-It notes for masking and various sizes of theme stamps.

ADIRONDACK COLOR WASH WORKSHOP$25
Sat. May 310:00-12:30 p.m.

Color washes and their many uses are explored in great depth in this class with Cheryl Kruthaupt. Color washes provide a method for covering large paper surfaces with color very quickly. Learn a variety of cool techniques including working on such surfaces as vellum and manila folders. This is a technique workshop and very messy so dress accordingly. Students will be supplied with all the necessary color washes and papers to explore each method in class. This is one of Cheryl’s favorite mediums and she has tons of information to share with you. Students will be supplied with detailed instructions and a small pack of papers to take home.
Your stamping suitcase is not required but bring a tweezers if you have one.



ALCOHOL INKS WORKSHOP$25

Cheryl Kruthaupt will show you how to take advantage of these amazing inks to enhance your card backgrounds and your stamped images. These are great fun, easy to apply and have many uses. Using a wood block and a felt applicator, you will learn to dab and spread the inks on glossy paper, dominos, acetate and other porous surfaces. You will learn to create a beautiful landscape background by sliding the inks across a craft sheet and glossy paper. You will use Adirondack Alcohol inks and Pinata inks. All paper and ink will be provided.
It is not necessary to bring your stamping suitcase.
Optional: a craft sheet if you have one.



ALL TIED UP$31

Imagine yourself snow bound, all the stores closed and you want to make a journal. That leaves you with only one thing, your own imagination. Gaye Medbury will show you how to construct a hardbound book created from ordinary household supplies that could include nuts and bolts, paper bags, calendars, newspaper, twine and anything else you can think of. This class is really fun, relaxed and a great exercise in creativity.
Students need to bring their basic stamping suitcase including: 1/2" red line double stick tape, glue stick, stylus, beads for embellishment and any flat embellishments you want to use.

AROUND THE BLOCK WITH BLOCK STAMPS WORKSHOP$26

Cheryl Kruthaupt will show you how to play with her favorite type of stamps – Block Stamps (also referred to as solid, shadow, palette, negative plate, positive surface stamps). Students will experiment with block stamps in combination with detailed background stamps, brass stencils and texture stamps. Students will experiment with color washes, color box pigment inks, archival inks, and Hero Art shadow inks. Class addresses beginning, intermediate and advanced techniques. This is a workshop technique class which includes sections called "Illumination, "Under the Rainbow", "Stamp on Stamp" and Cheryl’s own "Tuscan Italian/Old World effect". The class time has been extended to allow for plenty of time to play and explore each technique. A student pack with instructions and paper will be supplied. All paper, inks and stamps will be provided.
It is not necessary to bring your stamping suitcase.



ATC POST$29

Join Amy Flowers for more fun with postcards! We’ll take postcards and cut them down to ATC size, creating fresh word and image collage art. Alter the surface with stamps and transparent collage techniques, then bind them all into an ATC book with pre-drilled acrylic covers. Stain and stamp the acrylic for a stained glass effect and bind with a variety of ribbons. We’ll fasten the book with a clever little closure and twill ribbon—too cool for words!

Join owner, Connie Williams, for a fun class of card crafting. You’ll make 4 cards. Each session is limited to 16 seats. Bring double stick tape, scissors and a black ink pad. Prerequisite to class: Introduction to Paper Crafting with Rubber Stamps.

COLORED PENCILS WITH GAMSOL:FLOWERS$24

Just in time for spring, learn a new colored pencil blending technique with Judy Kubicki that uses Gamsol (odorless mineral spirits). You will achieve quick, artful, almost watercolor like effects with this blending technique. NOTE: If you have any health concerns about working with odorless mineral spirits, please do not sign up.
Students need to bring: sharpened colored pencils (Prismacolor preferred or any artist or professional grade pencils-watercolor pencils and chalk pencils will not work), emery board, #2 and #4 paper stumps (or a Gamsol Kit from Inky Antics).



DOMINO ANGEL FAIRY ART DOLL$19
Thur. May 226:00-8:00 p.m.

Come create an Angel Fairy Art Doll which can be worn as a pin or necklace with guest instructor Denise Landa. Students will make the body from a domino using inks and various additional mediums including spray webbing and varnish. Each individual creation will vary depending upon the student’s creativity and may not replicate the class sample. The polymer clay head will be pre-made by the instructor. You will receive an additional polymer clay head piece and domino to complete at home.
Students need to bring their stamping suitcase including a black Memories ink pad. The instructor will have jewelry tools available but you may wish to bring your own round nose pliers, chain or needle nose pliers and wire cutters.



FLIGHTS OF FANCY$26

This class with Kim Conlin uses the brand new Memory Box stamps with a whimsical bird theme. You will make 6 cards and decorated envelopes. Themes include: thank you , just a note, birthday and others. Use Tsukineko brilliance pearlescent and Versamagic inks along with shimmer chalks to create gorgeous soft, faded looks. The colors used are soft robin’s egg blue, eggshell, chocolate, turquoise gem, sea breeze, and tea leaves-sure to get a reaction from the lucky recipient of any of these cards. Have fun and learn some new techniques in this fast paced class.
Students need to bring their stamping suitcase including a Versamark inkpad.



FLORAL WATERCOLOR EFFECTS$25

Create floral card masterpieces with Judy Kubicki. Learn to apply markers and water to floral images from Penny Black and others to create simple and artful cards for special occasions.
Students need to bring their stamping suitcase including: two shades of various dye/waterbased markers (red, orange, bright pink, yellow, blue, green, etc). Bright and medium shades of Tombow markers preferred. Permanent or dark markers will not work with this technique.



FRESH FLOWERS WITH COLORED PENCILS$23

Join Judy Kubicki and practice shading and blending techniques to beautifully color floral images with colored pencils.
Students need to bring: a set of Artist or Professional grade colored pencils (sharpen the pencils before class). Watercolor or chalk pencils will not work in this class.

HERO ARTS CARD BLAST$36

Join Jennifer McGuire for one of her popular fast-paced card making classes. You will make 10 cards using the newest in Hero Arts products and will learn many new and fun techniques.
Students need to bring: colored pencils, adhesives, mini glue dots, pop dots, scissors and an X-acto knife.



HOUSE OF WAX$36

Here’s a fresh take on beeswax—join Amy Flowers to make a free standing, three dimensional fabric shrine, coated in wax and placed on a painted and stamped clayboard base! We’ll dip n’ drape stamped, dyed muslin into a vat of beeswax, forming the waxed fabric into shape as it cools. Encase ephemera onto the fabric with more wax, even dripping color throughout. Ink and etch stamp images onto the clayboard, then play with fusing your art house onto the collage base. Too cool for words!

MILAGROS DE ARTES$31
Sat. June 143:30-5:30 p.m.

Create your own personal art shrine in this class with Amy Flowers. Using Claybord for the base, we’ll explore coloring treatments with a variety of inks, then stamp and etch the Claybord for a unique effect. Move on to a wooden box featuring a hinged screen lid, perfect for housing your artist’s muse. We’ll coat the box with a custom Pearl Ex paint for a hammered metal look, then finish with collage. Mount your shrine to the Claybord and build your very own art alter, inviting your muse to come out and play!
All supplies provided.

RESIST WORKSHOP$25

You cannot resist the temptation to learn these simple techniques. Cheryl Kruthaupt demonstrates how to use bleach, resist ink and other mediums to resist and repel the inks and paints you spread on your stamped artwork. The result is a ghost-like shadow effect that appears to be etched under layers of color. Students will use a, brayer and other tools to spread the inks. When you see the amazing results you will want these techniques to become a part of your stamping journey. Students receive a packet with instructions and supplies.
Stamping suitcase is not required.



SIMPLE POP-UPS & OTHER FUN THINGS$25

Learn some quick and easy techniques from Judy Kubicki to create fun pop-up and motion cards.
Students need to bring their stamping suitcase including a clear ruler with a metal cutting edge and strong double stick tape (Incredi-Tape or Wonder Tape) in 1/4" and 1/2" sizes.



WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES I-BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPES$25

Have you ever seen a stunning watercolor landscape and wondered how it was done? Let Connie Vogt show you how to layer images and use simple watercoloring techniques to transform them into beautiful works of art. This is a technique-only class. Students will complete 3 scenes in class. Cardstock kits to finish cards at home will be provided. Each student will receive a free Marvy Heritage Timeless Sepia inkpad.
Students need to bring the following: a selection of water-based markers (Marvy brush, Marvy Le Plume or Tombow), watercolor paint brushes (sizes #4 and #6 round tip preferred), a small ruler and a stamp positioner.



WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES I-BEAUTIFUL SEASCAPES$23

BASIC STAMPING SUITCASE

It is recommended that bring stamping basic to each class. In some class descriptions, additional supplies are listed. The basic stamping supplies include: a ruler (metal edged preferred), pencil, paper for notes, X-acto knife, cutting mat, glue stick, double-sided scitch tape, scissors, markers, a few pigment ink pads, and a black dye ink pad. Please mark your items.
