Have you ever looked at the beautiful Magenta stamps and wondered “I love them, but how do I color or what do I do with this stamp?” Guest teacher Sherry Coupland will provide all the answers as we will take several of the older Magenta designs - stamp with different colored inks on various colors of paper and voilà - it’s a beautiful image that is dinstinctly your taste. Add to the fun by putting pockets, folders, buttons, ribbon, any and all fun types of embellishments. Sherry will have a limited amount of embellishments, so you may want to bring some of your own tiny goodies. You should be able to make at least 3 to 4 cards in class depending on your detail.
Please bring your stamping suitcase and scissors to use on detail cuts.

CARD MAKING CRICUT STYLE$26

Do you want to get more out of your Cricut, learn about all those function and feature buttons and make the cutest cards ever? This class is for you! Along with teacher Peggy Cain you will explore the functions and mode keys, the handbooks, how to pre-treat and retreat your mat, class notes, and make four cards using several different cartridges. You will also get a brief introduction to the Jukebox and the Gypsy.
Please bring your Cricut machine, cords, mat, spatula, pen or pencil, paper trimmer and scissors, adhesive, pop dots and liquid adhesive, and a black ink pad. A list of cartridges used will be provided at time of sign-up so you may bring them to class.

If you’re looking for inspiration, a chance to create a bunch of cards quickly, or just want to have fun making cards and new friends, you’ll want to join CJ Vogt for this exciting monthly class. New card designs and techniques will be featured each month and students will make 3 each of 4 different cards, for a total of 12 cards with matching envelopes. This class will feature a winter/Christmas card as one of the 4 card designs each month to help you get a jump start on your holiday card-making!
Please bring scissors, selection of adhesives (double-sided tape and pop dots, glue pen, glue dots), and markers or colored pencils for coloring.



COLORING WITH COPIC MARKERS: ANIMALS$26

Are you ready for another stop along the Copic coloring trail? Join certified Copic Designer Connie Vogt and other Copic fans for this technique-only class focusing on animals, including dogs, cats, giraffes and, just in time for Easter, lambs and bunnies. Students will practice choosing colors, blending different fur types and adding texture on a stamped image reference sheet. An additional practice sheet and card kits will be provided.Copic 101 or previous Copic coloring experience is highly recommended.
Please bring a selection of Copic markers (list provided upon signup).
Basic stamping suitcase is not needed for this class.



CRAFTY KIDS’ CAMP~ FOR KIDS’ OF ALL AGES

Designed to teach your child new crafting skills and the love of using art rubber stamps and other arts and crafts items, this is a kids’ class that adults will equally enjoy! The March theme will feature an Easter basket with coordinating card. Adults welcome. Mother’s Day is right around the corner so students will make a stationery/ box holder with cards in April - the perfect gift for moms or grandmas! Kids will assemble the box with papers and embellishments using watercolor and Pearl-X to add shine and shimmer. A surprise is inside the box - but we can’t reveal it until the big day, though. The card is assembled from Cricut paper dolls and teacher Joan Benoit reverted back to childhood and having a blast making these cutsy little creations. So will your kids! Sorry Moms... this class is just for kids.
All other supplies provided. For ages 6 and up.



EMBOSSED AND STENCILED CARDS$26

Based on the request of her students, CJ Vogt has incorporated techniques taught in her brass stencil class to create several beautiful cards. Students will make at least four cards using brass stencils with inks, stencil pastes, mica powders and more on cardstock and other surfaces.
Please bring your basic stamping suitcase plus an embossing stylus and pad, pallet knife and three stencil brushes (for light, medium and dark colors).



FLOWER SOFT BEAUTIES$23

INK IT UP BETTER I$29

Join Jana Millen for a two-hour class where you will learn how to use Ranger’s Distress Inks. Jana is a certified Ranger Instructor who studied with Tim Holtz at Ranger University and she will share some of the many techniques that she learned from him. For each technique you will first practice and create a sample tag with instructions printed on the back and then make a card using each technique. You will leave the class with 5 cards and 5 samples tags.
NOTE: This class teaches the same techniques that were taught in the fall 2009 Ink It Up Better I class; however, this class uses the newest Hero Arts products and new Distress Ink colors so the cards are somewhat different. Please bring adhesive, glue dots, and scissors.



INK IT UP BETTER III (Ranger’s Paint Dabbers)$29

Join Jana Millen and learn to use Ranger’s Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers in a variety of fun ways. This is the third in a series of classes where you will learn techniques that she learned at Ranger University, studying with Claudine Hellmuth and Tim Holtz. For each technique you will create a sample tag to practice the technique (and serve as a reminder later of the steps) and a card that uses that technique. You will make 5 sample tags/card sets.
Bring adhesive, glue dots, a heat gun, and scissors. You do not need to have attended Ink It Up Better I or II to take this class.



JOURNEY THROUGH ENVELOPES$31

Loving envelope projects as much as guest teacher Gaye Medbury does, she found a wonderful layered presentation of various sized envelopes, assembled together giving interest, dimension and that WOW factor. No one will figure out how you made this. The project can be used as a card, journal or insert in an altered book. The possibilities are endless.
Please bring scissors, craft knife and mat, assortment of ink pads, glue stick, post-it notes for masking, and various sizes of theme stamps.

ROLLING WINDOW CARDS$26

A little mechanical wonder that is a real crowd pleaser! Let guest instructor Gaye Medbury teach you how to create an acetate window revealing your focal image and when you pull the lever down, a new scene “rolls” down into the window similar to a roller shade. You will be playing with it for hours because the mechanics are so cool. This is definitely a structure to have in your arsenal of structures as it can be used for all celebrations as well as interesting altered book or scrapbook insertions.
Please bring your basic stamping suitcase to include scissors, ruler, craft knife with new blade & mat, 1/4" double stick tape, bone folder or stylus, 1/16th” hole punch, your favorite images that will fit inside a 1 1/2"h x 2"w.

SMOOCH & SMOOCH SPRITZ ADVENTURES$19

Straight from the January Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) trade show! In this class led by guest teacher Sherry Coupland, students will learn three techniques presented at the CHA trade show using the Smooch pearlized paints, Smooch Spritz, and pearlized accent sprays. Add a touch of elegance to your projects and discover the versatility of these products. Students will make two cards plus a multi-media project.

So you think you “can’t” be creative? Think again!! Teacher Joan Benoit will teach you how to use various inks, pencils, stamps, and markers to let your imagination and creativity begin. During class you learn to stamp, emboss, and color and take home two finished cards that are sure to dazzle your friends as well as a small cardmaking kit to assemble later.
Students need only bring a pencil and paper.

BASIC STAMPING SUITCASE


It is recommended that you bring stamping basics to each class. In some class descriptions, additional supplies are listed. The basic stamping supplies include: a ruler (metal edged preferred), pencil, paper for notes, X-Acto knife, cutting mat, glue stick, double-sided scotch tape, scissors, markers, a few pigment ink pads, and a black dye ink pad. Please mark your items.
